Armed Robbery at Waldorf Playground
On Sept. 21 at 10:50 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the playground on Pine Cone Circle in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a 17-year-old Brandywine girl, an 18-year-old White Plains man and two Waldorf men, ages 19 and 20, were at the playground when four men approached them and brandished a handgun. The suspects ordered the victims to the ground, stole money and property and fled the scene.
A CCSO K9 team conducted a search for the suspects but the suspects were not located. The suspects are described only as black men wearing black clothing and masks. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer P. McPherson is investigating.
On Sept. 16 at 11 p.m., an off-duty police officer observed a man attempt to force entry into two unoccupied homes in the 5000 block of Breezewood Court in Hunters Brooke, Indian Head.
When the officer confronted the man, he fled the scene in a green Ford truck with Pennsylvania tags. He is described as a black male, approximately 50 years old and 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-743-2222. Officer C. Caldwell is investigating.
