Deputy Kevin Somerville located a vehicle in the California area that was broadcasted as part of a lookout. The front seat passenger of the vehicle was observed by a citizen, preparing a marijuana “blunt”.
The citizen called the violation in to 911. Deputy Somerville conducted a vehicle stop to find the operator’s privilege to operate a vehicle was suspended and revoked.
The vehicle emitted a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A half burnt marijuana “blunt” was recovered from the front seat passenger, Suspect Anthony Ray Foks (Age 22 of Leonardtown). The operator of the vehicle, Suspect Keith Louis Lyles (age 23 of Bryantown, Md.) was searched incident to arrest, revealing a baggie of marijuana inside his underwear.
