College of Southern Maryland: Campuses to open at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 10

St. Mary’s County:

Employee Code 3: St. Mary’s County Public Schools and offices are closed on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. No employees should report to work. Administrative leave will be provided for 12 month employees only. Designated emergency personnel should contact the Division of Supporting Services at (301) 475-4256, x9 for directions as to when to report to work. Thank you.

NAS Patuxent River status is: OPEN WITH UNSCHEDULED LEAVE.

NAS Patuxent River is open. Critical employees must report to work as scheduled. All other employees may take unscheduled leave, telework or leave without pay. Notify your supervisor of your intentions as soon as possible.

 All Recreation and Parks Before and After Care programs are cancelled. The Hollywood, Leonard Hall and Margaret Brent Recreation Centers will be closed. The Great Mills Swimming Pool is closed due to a lack of heat in the pool house and locker areas.

St. Mary’s County Government offices will be open however liberal leave is in effect for employees. The weekly business meeting of the Board of County Commissioners will take place at its usual time of 9 a.m.

Calvert County:

Calvert County Government Offices Opening on Time Today- County government offices will open on time today, Tuesday, Dec. 10, with a liberal leave policy in effect for county employees. Employees must contact their supervisors to request leave.

Calvert County Public Schools Closed (Code Yellow for 12-Month Employees)

  • Schools closed due to inclement weather for all students and 10 and 11-month employees.
  • All emergency personnel report as usual.
  • All other 12-month employees report 2 hours late (Code Yellow).
  • Liberal leave is in effect. Employees must notify their immediate supervisor.
  • Reminder to staff and parents when schools are closed all evening activities are cancelled.

Charles County:

The following facilities and services are closed or canceled today, Dec. 10:

  • Senior Centers
  • Meals on Wheels program
  • School-based Community Centers
  • Lackey Indoor Pool and North Point Indoor Pools
  • Activities at Elite Gymnastics and Port Tobacco Recreation Center
  • Charles County Public Schools, code red for employees on code system
  • Charles County Public Library, all branches
  • District and Circuit Courts
  • Charles County Sheriff’s Office, non-critical employees

The following facilities and services are open for normal business hours today, Dec. 10:

  • Crain Memorial Welcome Center
  • Charles County Landfill and Recycling Center and Pisgah Recycling Center
