Sterling, VA – The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect from 9 a.m. this morning to 5 p.m. EST this afternoon. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.

Locations –.Shoreline in St. Mary’s County.

Tidal departure – Around 2 feet above normal.

Timing – Within a few hours of high tide. High tide at Point
Lookout will be at 12:06 p.m. today. High tide at Piney Point
will be at 12:45 p.m. High tide at Coltons Point will be at
1:21 p.m.

Impacts – Water is expected to cover roads on St. George’s
Island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east,
inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary`s River,
Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation up to one
foot above ground is possible elsewhere.
