A Lusby church held a successful “Spring Fest” Saturday which was intended to invite the community to participate in a fun event geared to children. Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church built its current church three years ago after holding worship services meeting in a school beginning in 2003.
The congregation decided to invite the community last year to a Spring Fest. But this second year saw a tripling of community members to take the church up on its offer of free fun and food.
The Spring Fest included carnival games, fire trucks, a moon bounce, fitness fun, model plane demos, a rescued animal display, concessions, music and food.
Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church is located at 9463 HG Trueman Road near the Routes 2/4 intersection. The church is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
