Waldorf, MD – While the Blue Crabs scored 10 runs Friday night, their offense was less than stellar tonight in game two of their home series with the Lancaster Barnstormers. However, they managed timely hits, and rode the back of the pitching performance from Brian Baker, who went six innings Saturday night, allowing a run on three hits, to lead the Blue Crabs to a 3-2 victory at Regency Furniture Stadium.

The Barnstormers got the scoring started with a Brian Cavazos-Galvez solo home run to left center to make it 1-0. The Blue Crabs answered in the bottom of the inning.  With two outs, and runners at runners at first and second, Casey Stevenson ripped a single to right to score Zach Wilson from third to make it 1-1.

Southern Maryland took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Zach Wilson led off the inning with a single to left centerfield. Two batters later, with one out, Gustavo Molina drove one over the wall in left for a two-run home run to put the Blue Crabs out in front 3-1. It is the second two run home run for Molina in as many nights.

The Barnstormers out-hit the Blue Crabs 6-5, but left six runners on base.  Lefty Matt Packer took the loss for Lancaster throwing six innings, allowing three runs, on four hits, striking out four, and walking two.

A 2:05 p.m. start time is scheduled between these two clubs Sunday.  Right-hander Shunsuke Watanabe (1-1, 7.71) will start for Lancaster, while righty Jake Hale (3-1, 3.17) will throw for Southern Maryland.
