LUSBY, Md. – On November 22 at approximately 2 p.m., the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to the 11600 block of Big Bear Lane, Lusby  for the kitchen fire.

Engine 71, Rescue Squad 7, and Tanker 7 responded. While en route, the Calvert Control Center advised they were now receiving multiple calls that the structure was “well-involved”.

First arriving units from Solomon’s VRSFD arrived on location of a one story residence with fire showing. Engine 71 assisted Co.3 units with extinguishing the fire while Rescue Squad 7 performed a search and opened up the structure for the Engine Companies.

St. Leonard units operated for approximately two hours before clearing the fire ground.
