At 9:23 p.m. Nov. 4, TFC M. Laney of the Leonardtown barracks responded to National Circle, California for a reported armed robbery.
The victim, driver for Friendly Cab, advised that he was dispatched to WAWA to pick up a fare. The caller requested that the driver be a white male.
On arrival a black male got into the cab and asked to be driven to National Circle then to NAS Patuxent River.
Once on National Circle the black male told the driver to stop then put a long silver weapon to the driver’s head and demanded money, police say.
After the money was given the suspect fled the scene. Investigation is continuing.
