On Sept. 11, Deputies responded to the area of St. Georges Church Road for the report of a domestic assault. Investigation revealed that Bruce Edward Burroughs, 36 of Valley Lee, assaulted his live-in girlfriend during a domestic argument. Deputy Michael Boyer arrested Burroughs and charged him with Assault in the Second Degree.
On Sept. 10 Deputies were in the area of JD Court in Great Mills investigating a reported assault when a vehicle operated by Michael Tiger Phillip, 48 of Great Mills arrived at the scene. Phillip approached officers who noticed a strong odor of alcohol. After further investigation Deputy David Corcoran arrested and charged Phillip with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. Phillip was not involved in the earlier reported assault.
On Sept. 10, Deputy Timothy Butler observed Charles Brent Saxon, Jr., 56 of Saint Inigoes, operating his white Ford pick-up truck on Route 5 in Leonardtown. Deputy Butler observed the vehicle swaying from lane to lane and made the decision to stop the vehicle. After further investigation Deputy Butler arrested Saxon and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
On Sept. 10, Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Sue Drive in Lexington Park for a domestic disturbance. Once on the scene the officer’s investigation revealed that Richard Adrien Hamilton, 26 of Lexington Park, had choked his live-in girlfriend during a domestic argument. Deputy Joseph Labrack arrested Hamilton and charged him with Assault in the Second Degree.
On Sept. 10, Deputy Anthony Whipkey observed William Obrian Kennedy, 28 of Lexington Park, operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed on Shangri-La Drive. Kennedy was also observed failing to stop at a stop sign. After being stopped by Deputy Whipkey, further investigation revealed Kennedy to be intoxicated. Kennedy was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and other traffic related violations.
On Sept. 8, Deputy David Corcoran observed Joseph Kenny Morgan operating a vehicle on Great Mills Road. Deputy Corcoran had knowledge that Morgan’s Driver’s Licence is suspended, so a stop was made on Morgan’s vehicle. Further investigation revealed Morgan to be intoxicated. Deputy Corcoran arrested Morgan and charged him with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and other traffic related charges.
