Prince Frederick, MD –  Calvert Physicians Associates (CPA) is pleased to welcome board-certified family medicine physician Dr. Keyonna Proctor. She provides personalized health care for the whole family including adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Proctor will divide her time between Calvert Primary Care in Lusby and Solomons.

CPA is the employed provider network of Calvert Health System. The network is central to the health system’s mission of assuring the community has adequate access to primary care and specialists.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Proctor will be working in our southern locations,” said CPA Executive Director Theresa Baran. “We have been actively recruiting providers to meet the growing needs in those areas.”

Dean Teague, president and CEO of Calvert Health System agreed. “Primary care doctors are the first line of defense in keeping our community healthy. This is why we focus on ensuring there are enough providers.”

Dr. Proctor earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at UPMC Altoona, PA.

As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Proctor is trained to look at the whole person and takes a very hands-on approach to assessing and understanding a patient’s health. “I want to get to know them on a personal level, not just for the reason they came into the office,” she said. “I think that’s an important part of being a doctor.”

Same-day appointments are available for sick care. Calvert Primary Care accepts most insurance plans. To make an appointment, call 410-414-APPT (2778).
