On Sept. 27, St. Mary’s County Sheriffs responded to a residence in Callaway for a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed Matthew Aaron Robertson, 44 of Callaway, was involved a domestic verbal dispute which escalated into an assault when Robertson struck the victim in the face.
Matthew Robertson was arrested for second degree assault.
