Former Charles County Health Officer Chinnadurai Devadason died on August 15th at the age of 72. Devadason retired in June for medical reasons. He died in India with his wife, Ann, by his side.
Devadason served as the county’s health officer from 1983-1988 and again from 1995 to June 2012. Commissoner President Candice Quinn Kelly (D) mentioned his passing during the Charles County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday before taking a moment of silence to remember him.
Devadason leaves behind his wife and three sons.
