On Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at about 1:25 p.m. units responded to an auto accident at Route 260 and Cox Road in Chesapeake Beach.
The driver of the vehicle was the only person in the car and had already exited the vehicle when emergency vehicles arrived
The driver was transported by helicopter after being treated by paramedics and other medical members on the scene.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. The vehicle involved was an unmarked police car that is believed to be Maryland State Police.
