Driver faces concealed weapon charge

Prince Frederick, MD – On Sept. 10 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Deputy R. Evans of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle at Wilson Court and Main Street in Prince Frederick, drive through a stop sign without making the required stop. 

The deputy was able to make contact with the driver, Raymond Meleek Williams, 21 of Prince Frederick, at the intersection of Main Street and Old Field Lane. Evans discovered Williams to be in possession of a gun and brass knuckles. 

Williams was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was issued the appropriate charging documents. According to a court docket summary, Williams was charged with one count of concealment of a dangerous weapon. A hearing on the charge has been scheduled for Oct. 27 in District Court.
