On July 3, between the hours of 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., officers of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Driving While under the Influence Saturation Patrol in the Mechanicsville area.ย  The purpose of saturation patrols is to locate and arrest drivers who choose to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination of the two substances.
