On Friday, March 18, 2011 at 5:04pm, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a Chrysler passenger vehicle in the area of Maryland Route 235 and St. John’s Road for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Gresko made contact with the driver, Stephen Aaron Huffman, 20, of Mechanicsville and the passenger, Devin Clay Caldwell, 18, of Hollywood. While speaking with the occupants, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was performed revealing CDS on Mr. Caldwell’s person and in the vehicle. Both Subjects were subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Both subjects were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
