On Friday, March 18, 2011 at 9:20pm, TFC E. J. Page conducted a traffic stop in the area of Loveville Road and Old Red Oak Lane on a Chevy Malibu. Upon making contact with the operator, TFC Page detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was performed revealing CDS in the center console of the vehicle. Clarence Vincent Nelson, Jr., 28, of Mechanicsville was subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS – Marijuana and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Mr. Nelson was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
