At 2:35 am, on March 6, Charles County Sheriffโs Officer D. Almassy observed a vehicle traveling 91 mph in a 55 mph zone on Crain Highway near Faulkner Road in Glasva.
When a lookout for the vehicle was dispatched, Sgt. Schmidt observed the vehicle make a u-turn nearby. Officer Almassy observed the vehicle pass through his radar again at 85 mph and attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle failed to stop until the driver had turned around again and reached Conoy Place.
The driver was identified as Michael Thomas Anderson Jr., 46, of Clinton. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, negligent driving and speeding.
He was taken into custody without incident and was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner.
