On September 20, 2010 deputies responded to the area of Abbott Street and Woodland Road in Mechanicsville, for a report of a woman unconscious in the roadway.
Upon arrival deputies found Agnes Marie Nelson, 53 of Mechanicsville, intoxicated and laying in the road. Deputies requested an ambulance to respond to the scene. Nelson kicked Deputy First Class Graves twice as he and the ambulance personnel were attempting to render aid to her.
Nelson was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and disorderly intoxication.
