On April 11, at 6:31 p.m., Travis Lajuane Moody, 22 of Baltimore, was operating a gold Buick Roadmaster on Piney Point Road when he was stopped by Tpr. J. Gibson at Driftwood Lane in Piney Point for exceeding the posted speed limit.
Upon contact with Moody, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Moody was subsequently arrested for DWI/DUI and placed under arrest. A search incident to the arrest revealed Moody was in possession of Smith & Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with 47 rounds for the handgun.
Moody was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
