By the time you are reading this, thereโ€™s a good chance that we will know the results of the November 6 presidential election. No matter the victor, he will be everybodyโ€™s President now.

Our current commander-in-chief made another of his now-famous (and frequent) verbal blunders last week when he asked his supporters to vote for revenge. His actual words were โ€œโ€ฆvotingโ€™s the best revengeโ€. What outrageous advice. Itโ€™s hard to believe that an American president would say such a thing. I consider this comment to be under the same โ€œinappropriate commentโ€ umbrella as Michelle Obamaโ€™s declaration during the 2008 campaign when reflecting on her husbandโ€™s nomination that she could now – for the first time in her life – be proud of her country. I repeat what Iโ€™ve said previously in this columnโ€ฆ Obamaโ€™s fatherโ€™s dreams were not the dreams of our countryโ€™s founding fathers โ€“ and neither are his. I sincerely hope that you took Mitt Romneyโ€™s advice to โ€œ..vote for love of countryโ€, and subsequently voted wisely.

Election night celebrations were held all around our area on Tuesday evening. Joe Stanalonis met his supporters at the VFW in Wildewood, and Tony Oโ€™Donnell greeted his supporters at his headquarters in Prince Frederick. Dan Bongino joined Andy Harris, Faith Loudon, and Maryland for Romney to watch as the poll numbers came in at a free-and-open-to-the-public celebration held at the BWI Westin Hotel in Linthicum.

And in case weโ€™re experiencing โ€œhanging chadsโ€ dรฉjร  vu, or some other phenomena that is leaving us in suspense concerning the outcome ofย  any of the elections, just stay tunedโ€ฆ thereโ€™ll be lots more of those political ads coming our way with up-to-the-minute developments.

THE END
