
LANDOVER, Md. – Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives charged a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing Monday evening in Landover.
The suspect is 28-year-old Brilyen Kelly of Landover. He is charged with fatally stabbing his brother, 23-year-old Simi Kelly.
On November 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 pm, officers responded to the 8600 block of Reicher Street for a stabbing. Officers located the victim outside suffering from trauma. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Landover Division III patrol officers arrested the suspect at the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect stabbed the victim during a dispute. Brilyen Kelly is charged with first and second degree murder.
He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
