WALDORF, Md. – Today, at approximately 6:20 p.m., firefighters responded to the structure fire due to a lightning strike at 5485 Christina Place in Waldorf.
Crews arrived to find the fire on the rear of the one story home, spreading through the basement with extension to the main floor. No injuries reported at this time.
Requesting units from St. Mary’s, Calvert and Prince George’s Counties to assist with the fire.
Mt. Pleasant Road is shut down while tankers to bring water to the scene.
Use caution in the area, and stay alert for emergency vehicles.
