
WALDORF, Md. – The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating an overnight fire on Blue Anchor Court near Bainbridge Court that occurred on February 26, 2024, at approximately 12:17 a.m.
A total of 37 firefighters responded to the split-foyer home and brought the fire under control within 20 minutes. There were no injuries reported. However, six dogs were rescued from the home.
The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damages to the structure of the house and an additional $2,000 in damages to the contents of the home.
The occupants of the home were alerted to the fire by smoke detectors and discovered the fire in the attached garage.
The preliminary cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Office of the State Fire Marshal is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6835.
