MSPAC trooper 7 MEDEVAC

HUGHESVILLE, Md. — Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious head-on collision involving three vehicles on Prince Frederick Road in Hughesville.

The crash was reported around 2:05 p.m. Sept. 3, 2026, near the 15675 block of Prince Frederick Road.

A 26-year-old man was transported by ambulance to University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.

A 20-year-old man was also evaluated at the scene, and Maryland State Police Trooper 2 has been requested to fly him to the same trauma center.

A landing zone has been established nearby, and crews are awaiting the arrival of Trooper 2.

Prince Frederick Road (231) is closed in both directions from Leonardtown Road (Route 5) to Brandywine Road (Route 381) as crews clear the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
