On July 18, deputies responded to Monterey Place in Leonardtown, for a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed Thomas Brian Burchett, 27 of Leonardtown, was in a verbal dispute with the victim, which escalated into a physical assault when Burchett punched the victim several times in the face with his fist.
Burchett was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
