On May 23, police responded to the Subway Restaurant on MacArthur Boulevard in California, for a report of a burglary. Unknown person(s) smashed an exterior window to gain entry to the business. Once inside, money was stolen from a cash register and safe.
Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations assumed the investigation. Detectives reviewed the restaurant’s video surveillance system and developed Fred Allen Linkous-Lincoln, 20 of California, a former employee, as a suspect.
On June 1, 2010 BCI Detectives executed a search and seizure warrant at Linkous-Lincoln’s residence and detained four subjects. Detectives subsequently charged Linkous-Lincoln with Second-Degree Burglary, Destruction of Property and Theft.
The burglary investigation is continuing. Further arrests and charges may be pending following a review with the States Attorney’s Office.
