Frank Marquart, President of the Federal Order of Police, Great Mills (Lodge 7) told The Bay Net today that the lodgeโ€™s membership completed voting for this yearโ€™s candidate endorsements for the General Election.

Along with choosing Republican Tim Cameron over sitting Democrat Sheriff Dave Zylak, the association selected the endorse the following candidates for local races:

County Commissioner President: Jackie Russell (D)

County Commissioner district 1 โ€“ Kenny Dement (R)

County Commissioner district 2 โ€“ Tom Mattingly (D)

County Commissioner district 3 โ€“ too close to call (lodge rules call for a candidate to gain 60 percent of the vote to get the endorsement)

County Commissioner district 4 โ€“ Dan Raley (D)

Maryland Senate district 29 โ€“ Roy Dyson (D)

St. Maryโ€™s Stateโ€™s Attorney โ€“ Richard Fritz (R)

Marquart told The Bay the elections are greatly anticipated, and the lodge is motivated and looking forward to a great election.
