PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert County’s Liquor Board met Thursday evening to approve several applications and review inspections for local businesses in the county.

According to board secretary Linda Tayman, the Arts Council of Calvert County, End Hunger in Calvert and Shawn Bannon Golf Academy all were approved for single-day licenses. The licenses were related to special, one-day events hosted or co-hosted by those organizations.

Additionally, Mandi Taylor was approved as the new license holder for Dry Dock Restaurant and Pool Bar (La Vela Solomons LLC), located at 245 C St., Solomons. This is a Class B, “on-sale,” beer, wine and liquor license. There are no other known changes to the business or the license at this time.

The board reviewed the recent inspections of 17 businesses in the county that currently hold a liquor license. The local businesses that passed inspection are:

  • Abner’s Seaside Crab House
  • Breezy Point Marina
  • Chesapeake Grille & Deli
  • Ledo Pizza – Dunkirk
  • Neptune’s Seafood Pub
  • Outback Steakhouse
  • Spring Cove Marina
  • Topside Pub
  • Town Center BP
  • Vera’s Sunset Creek
  • Bridge Drive Inn
  • Fastop – Chesapeake Beach
  • Fujiyama
  • Hook & Vine Kitchen & Bar
  • Ledo Pizza Prince Frederick
  • Mamma Lucia
  • North Beach Fastop

Liquor board meetings are held monthly on the fourth Thursday at 1 p.m., unless otherwise noted on the schedule below. Meetings are held in the Chesapeake Hearing Room at the County Administration Building, 150 Main St., Prince Frederick. Meetings are open to the public and are not streamed online on county channels.
