
Ashley Rose Dean
Mechanicsville, MD— St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kenneth Flelage responded Dec. 23, 2015 to the 40000 block of Leeland Road in Mechanicsville, for the report of an assault .
The victim alleged the suspect, Ashley Rose Dean, age 27, of Mechanicsville, cut him on the hand with a knife.
According to court documents, “The victim advised he was in an argument with his girlfriend (Dean), later identified as the defendant. The victim advised during the argument Dean retrieved a kitchen knife and began walking towards him.
“The victim attempted to grab the knife from the defendant, and while doing so, the defendant cut the victim on his left hand causing a minor laceration. The victim also had two small lacerations on his neck,” according to court documents.
Dean was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with first- and second-degree assault.
Dean has a court trial set for Jan.21 at St. Mary’s County District Court. She faces a maximum jail sentence of thirty-five years and or a maximum fine of $2,500.
