PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Prince Frederick woman who was riding as a passenger in a vehicle stopped in Calvert County was charged with drug possession and paraphernalia offenses after deputies reported finding smoking devices with suspected cocaine residue during a search, according to court documents.

Heather Lynn Davis, 43, of Prince Frederick, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis and two counts of possession of CDS paraphernalia.

A Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of North Solomons Island Road and Traditional Way around 3:37 a.m. on May 29, 2026, when he saw a black Ford Fusion in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 15 North Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick.

The deputy reported that the vehicle left the parking lot without coming to a stop before entering North Solomons Island Road. A traffic stop was conducted at North Solomons Island Road and Main Street, where Davis was identified as the front-seat passenger, charging documents state.

The driver allegedly did not have his license on him. After identifying Davis as the passenger, the deputy requested a controlled dangerous substance K-9, citing prior knowledge of both occupants and suspected drug activity.

Sgt. Deputy Idol and K-9 Bengie responded to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, according to the report. K-9 Bengie, who is trained and certified to detect controlled dangerous substances, allegedly alerted to the odor of CDS.

During a probable cause search of the vehicle, Cpl. Plant located loose copper strands in the front passenger seat area where Davis had been seated, charging documents state. A female deputy was then requested to search Davis.

Deputy Snyder searched Davis and found two improvised glass smoking devices containing white powder residue suspected to be cocaine, according to the report. One device allegedly fell from Davis during the search, while another was found concealed on her person.

During a separate search, deputies also reported finding burnt copper wire with suspected cocaine residue on the driver.

Davis was placed into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where she was charged with one count of CDS possession, not cannabis, and two counts of CDS possession of paraphernalia.

Court records show Davis was released on recognizance following a bail review on May 29, 2026.

A trial is set for July 13, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
