At 5:14 p.m. Dec. 14, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown barrack observed a vehicle being driven southbound on Route 5 at Oaks Road in Charlotte Hall, and the driver was not restrained by a seatbelt.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Mathew Allen Logue, 21, of Upper Marlboro. A check through Miles/NCIC revealed that Logue’s driving privileges were suspended.
He was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest was conducted. The officer found in his right pants pocket two bags containing Marijuana. Found in his left pants pocket was a smoking device with burnt Marijuana residue.
Logue was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and was held pending a bail hearing.
