October 27, 2019 – Officers and members of the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department were honored to participate in the funeral services for Past Chief Charles “Charlie” Nelson Black, IV and provide Chief 6 his last ride.
We thank the volunteers with Mechanicsville and Solomons VFD for filling in yesterday to provide coverage for the Huntingtown community while our members paid final respects to Chief Black’s life of service to the state of Maryland; and also to those memorialized during yesterday’s Calvert County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association’s Annual Memorial Service in Port Republic.
