Searching for some holiday fun for the entire family? Then make plans to attend the 30th annual Easter Festival at the Leonard Hall Recreation Center in Leonardtown.
The event, hosted by the St. Maryโs County Department of Recreation and Parks, takes place on Saturday, March 30 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. rain or shine. The Easter Festival has become an annual spring tradition in the Southern Maryland community and features egg hunts for all ages, photos with the Easter Bunny, amusement rides, live entertainment, free arts and crafts, an egg decorating contest, face painting, and goods and services for sale by a variety of local area vendors.
The cost to participate in the egg hunt, have a photo taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy local music and fun entertainment is $4. Additional charges apply to enjoy the amusement rides and various food vendors on site.ย Advance tickets are available at the Recreation & Parks main office, located inside the Patuxent Building, 23150 Leonard Hall Dr., Leonardtown, MD, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The office will be closed on March 29 for the Good Friday holiday.
Space is still available for local vendors wishing to participate. Recreation and Parks is also seeking donations and sponsorships. Please call for additional details.
Net proceeds from the Easter Festival, along with the Scott Verbic Memorial Golf Tournament, are used to fund the Recreation & Parks Scholarship Program. The scholarships provide qualified individual applicants the opportunity to participate in an activity at a 50% prorated amount of the registration fee.
