About 30 firefighters from the Waldorf, West Lake and Marbury Fire Departments responded to a two story townhouse in Waldorf Friday night.
The homeowner, Orlando Epps, discovered a fire in his laundry room and called emergency services.
It took firefighters 15 minutes to get the fire under control. An investigation revealed an electrical problem with the dryers controls caused the fire.
No one was injured in the fire.
