On June 4, 2015, Correctional Officer Graves was serving inmates meals through the food chute at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center when inmate Joseph Desales Thomas, age 51, of Great Mills, kicked the door.
When Thomas kicked the door, the food chute door struck CO Graves’ hand.
Thomas was charged with 2nd Degree Assault on Law Enforcement by Deputy Jason Wilson.
