FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — A 24-year-old Waldorf man was killed Wednesday night in a three-vehicle crash on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington.

Prince George’s County Police identified the victim as Blake Greenwell.

Officers responded around 9:40 p.m. Sept. 2, 2026, to the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Palmer Road, where they found an SUV and two sedans involved in the collision.

Greenwell, who was driving one of the sedans, died at the scene.

His passenger was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

The preliminary investigation found that the two sedans were traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway approaching Palmer Road while the SUV was traveling southbound.

For reasons still under investigation, the three vehicles collided at the intersection.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera or home surveillance footage that may have captured it to contact the department at 301-731-4422.
