
Irma Beatrice Bryant, 84 of Lexington Park, found peace on May 25, 2026 after battle cancer. She was known to a family and friends as BB was born on February 14, 1942 to Lawrence and Geraldine Chase. She loved telling the story about how her father would tell her mother that she was the Valentine’s Day gift ever. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifton Bryant Sr., in July 1996.
Irma, left Lexington Park and move in Washington, D.C. to pursue her career with the federal government where she worked as a Computer Operator. Whenever Irma was having a bad day at work her friends and coworkers would put orange sodas on her desk because they knew how much she laughed orange sodas. After 30 years of service with the Department of Navy. She moved back home to Lexington Park, Maryland to enjoy her retirement. During her time of retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid quilter and loved cooking.
Irma was a dedicated and faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, even after being bedridden. Irma still paid tithes to her church. She faithfully said her rosary and watch mass on TV.
Irma, is survived by her children: Joseph (Regina) Chase, Saint Inigoes, MD; Imelda (Bill) Rhodes, Colonial Heights, Virginia; Clara (Ivan) Parker, La Plata, MD; and William (Evelyn) Bryant of Upper Marlboro, MD. Siblings: Lawrence Chase, Mechanicsville, Maryland; Teresa Mays, Elk Grove, California; and Thomas Chase Waldorf, Maryland. Irma is also survived by a very large, loving family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 22375 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
