Children's Day on the Farm 2025
JPPM Flyer

ST. LEONARD, Md. — Southern Maryland families are invited to welcome summer at Children’s Day on the Farm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM) in St. Leonard. The annual event, now in its 38th year, offers a day of free family fun celebrating Maryland’s rural history and community spirit.

Guests can enjoy live performances, children’s crafts, old-fashioned games, wagon rides, food vendors and hands-on demonstrations that showcase what life was like on the farm, both in the past and today.

New: Scavenger Hunt on the Farm

Families can also take part in JPPM’s new monthly scavenger hunt, held at the Patterson House and Gardens. Participants can collect stamps each month through October, with a prize awarded for completing the full series. The hunt adds an interactive twist to the event and encourages families to return throughout the season.

Traffic Advisory
JPPM will be closed to the public until 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, to allow time for event setup and safety preparations. Visitors are asked to plan accordingly and arrive after the park reopens.
