UPDATE – 9/5/2025 – Bowie Man Charged In Killing Of Lanham Teen Dacara Thompson
LANHAM, Md. — Family and community members are pleading for answers after 19-year-old Dacara Rose Thompson disappeared more than a week ago in Prince George’s County.
Thompson was last seen the night of Aug. 22, 2025, after leaving her father’s house in Lanham. Relatives said she told him she was going to get gas nearby and would return, but she never came back.
Police said her 2013 pearl white Ford Edge was later discovered in Langley Park, parked in front of a fire hydrant near Jasmine Terrace and Riggs Road. Her belongings were inside the vehicle.
On Sunday, Aug. 31, dozens gathered in prayer at the spot where the car was found.
She is described as 5-foot-2 and about 105 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She has a nose ring and tattoos on her right side and left arm. At the time she went missing, she was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
