On Sept. 9, Charles County Sheriff’s detectives assigned to the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Frank P. Jenkins, 44 of La Plata, in connection with the theft of a large amount of money from an estate settlement he was appointed to handle earlier this year.
Jenkins was charged with one count of theft over $500 and released on his own recognizance.
Investigators are in the process of reviewing other financial records associated with Jenkins and exploring the possibility he might have taken money from several other clients. Detective E. Clark is investigating.
