Drug Arrest – On Monday, March 28, 2011 at 7:21pm, Cpl. F. Logsdon responded to a Check Welfare in the area of Maryland Route 243 at Merlin Way in Leonardtown. Upon arrival, Cpl. Logsdon observed a female sitting on the curb at the location. Contact was made with the female who advised she was in a verbal dispute with her boyfriend. Identification was provided by the female indicating that she was Katelyn Lee Beavers, 25, Leonardtown. A query through NCIC revealed that Ms. Beavers had two outstanding warrants through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Beavers was subsequently arrested; however, a search incident to arrest revealed that she was in possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Beavers was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center were she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
