SOUTH CHINA SEA – On April 18, 2020 Cpl. Trenten Langdon, left, from Bainbridge, Georgia, assigned to 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, teaches rifle handing to Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Dalton Lewis, from Lexington Park, Maryland, assigned to Expeditionary Strike Group 7, during Corporals Course aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6).
Dalton Lewis graduated from Great Mills High School in 2018 and completed 4 years in the NJROTC program. He is currently an E4 IT in the Navy stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and is currently on deployment in the South China Sea.
On April 21, 2020 marines assigned to 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct air assault training operations aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6).
America, flagship of America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit team is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
