La Plata, MD – What amazing weather for the Maryland DogFest last weekend! Heard no complaints from any dogs and that’s all that mattered at this event! We loved seeing family, friends, and dogs gathered together enjoying the festival. The day was filled with fun, festivities, businesses, dog demonstrations, pet adoptions, pets and pet lovers, food and more! And most importantly the dogs were all happy and refreshed as the Maryland DogFest had small pools all around the event for the dogs to cool off in and there was even an ice cream vendor selling pup ice cream that we saw many dogs enjoying! We also met some really fun, amazing businesses that if you weren’t able to come out last weekend they are still very much so welcoming you today! It was a delight meeting these exhibitors as they were all so welcoming and showed amazing customer service! With that being said TheBayNet would like to recommend some local businesses for you to visit;

Not two minutes after walking into the festival we were greeted by Tracy Vasquez, Christina Stickel, and Amanda Calhoun with the Radiant Home Group of Re/Max One. They are most definitely ready to help you with your buying/selling needs in Maryland and Virginia! Meeting this group was a joy and they even rolled out the red carpet for any doggy visitors that came their way! And if that wasn’t enough they had fun photo props and were very willing to smile and laugh and welcome all pets and pet owners too! Something amazing that we learned about this fun group is they launched a program that donates a portion of their commission to honor members of the United States Military, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, and Emergency Medical Service.

Last but definitely not least we had an amazing conversation with Charlotte and Steve Mandragos at the Paws -n- Play booth.
Charlotte was able to tell us about an awesome non profit organization, Canine Corps Dog Sanctuary, this is a must read!

Canine Corps Dog Sanctuary is a 501 (C) (3) that has been formed to provide a place for Reservists and Guard members who have been called to active duty and are heading overseas. Their object is to provide a safe and friendly place for their loved ones while they are deployed.

They are actively seeking government contracts so that they can provide for these “family members” while their loved ones have been deployed. The profits from this venture is to raise money for the dogs so they can provide these services.

They are a non-profit organization that relies on donations and volunteers. If you are able please take a moment to DONATE HERE!

Wrapping things up TheBayNet would like to thank Maryland DogFest for an amazing time and we are looking forward to next year!
