County commissioner candidate Bob Schaller (r) receives a $1,000 check from the FOP PAC fund from Bill Raddatz of the local lodge
Leonardtown, MD — St. Mary’s County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #7 has issued its endorsements for the November election. Voting by members was on August 25 and 26, with a significant number of members participating, according to lodge State Trustee Det. Cpl. William Raddatz of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. The FOP is made up of deputies and correctional officers.
The endorsements are:
Sheriff Tim Cameron (R) who is unopposed
State’s Attorney Rick Fritz (R)
County Commissioner, District 1 – Tom Jarboe (R)
County Commissioner, District 2 – Bob Schaller (D)
County Commissioner, District 3 – Tony Joe St. Clair (D)
County Commissioner, District 4 – Todd Morgan (R), unopposed
Delegate, District 29A – Dan Slade (D)
Delegate, District 29B – John Bohanan (D)
Senator, District 29 – Steve Waugh (R)
The lodge members did not make an endorsement in the county commissioner president’s race, which features incumbent Francis “Jack” Russell (D) and challenger Randy Guy (R).
According to Raddatz, the FOP Political Action Committee (PAC) has donated $1,000 to Cameron, Fritz and the county commissioner candidates (except for Morgan, who is getting $500 because he is unopposed), and $500 to the state office candidates that they endorsed.
Will Watters is president of the local lodge which meets on Chancellor’s Run Road in Great Mills.
