Lexington Park, MD – On July 30, Deputy Schultz responded to a residence on Liberty Street in Lexington Park, in reference to a domestic related argument involving suspect Demetrius Lakies Butler, age 25, of Lexington Park (pictured left). Deputy Schultz knocked on the door and a 5 year old girl answered.
The girl advised she was home alone. Further investigation revealed Butler had left the home at 7:40 a.m., while she was asleep. Deputy Schultz found her home alone at 9:05 AM. Butler was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Neglect of a Minor.
