NEWBURG, Md. — A 40-year-old man and a 5-year-old boy were flown to hospitals Tuesday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in Charles County.

The crash was reported around 4:55 p.m. June 2, 2026, in the 9900 block of Sylvan Turn in Newburg.

The man and child were involved in a motorcycle wreck. Both suffered abrasions, and EMS later reported the man had a partially broken foot.

The 5-year-old suffered a head wound and was going in and out of consciousness. He was flown by MSPAC Trooper 7 to Children’s National Hospital for care.

U.S. Park Police Eagle 1 flew the man to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
