On May 31 at 8:08 p.m., officers responded to the 12000 block of Crain Highway in La Plata for the report of an accidental shooting.
Investigation revealed the victim, 52, was handling a gun when he accidently discharged a round into his leg.
The man was flown to a hospital where he was treated for a non life-threatening injury.
