On September 7, at 9:09 a.m., TFC E. M. Evans responded to the 46000 block of Valley Court in Lexington Park for the reported assault.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, Ronald Stuart Pope, 46 of Lexington Park. He advised he was in a verbal argument with the female complainant, 23 of Lexington Park. After speaking with the victim, she advised the suspect was attempting to let her dog out when he blocked the door. He grabbed her by the neck when she was scratched.
Pope was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner
