On July 20 at 2:16 a.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Crain Highway after observing a traffic violation.
The driver attempted to flee but was apprehended a short distance away. Officers found marijuana inside the car and arrested Corness Maro Gray, 42 of Waldorf. He was charged with fleeing and eluding, possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. Sgt. S. Myers investigated.
